The Tance Max was designed for vapers who are looking for a bit more sophistication in a pod system.

Eleaf released two products under the same name, the Tance and Tance Max. They both featured somewhat different specifications. This review is about the Tance Max.

The Eleaf Tance Max is a refillable pod system. It does not perfectly mimic the feel of a cigarette, but it is just as comfortable and gives you the freedom to try out as many e-juice flavors as you choose. The Tance Max is an all-in-one device, and it is suitable for both newbies and experienced vapers.

You can get the Tance Max for about $30.92-$36.80 at the Eleaf World online. There are six color options to select from; Black, White, Seablue, Geometry, Seashell, and Trick.

The Tance Max kit contains:

  • 1 X Tance Max Battery
  • 1 X Tance Max Cartridge (4ml non Eu compliant)
  • 1 X GS Air M 0.6ohm Head Mesh Kanthal (offering 8-20W output)
  • 1 X GS Air S 1.6ohm Head SS316L (Offering 6-10W output)
  • 1 X Type C Cable
  • 1 X User Manual

The body of the Tance Max is made primarily of zinc-alloy, while the sides are made of plastic. Overall, the chassis of the device has an elegant and durable feel. The device is pocket-friendly and easy to hold. It measures 101mm x 31mm x 20mm, and weighs about 87g.

On the front side of the device, you will notice a rectangular button; this is the fire button. The fire button is well built and simple to operate, and it will not accidentally fire in your pocket. You use five clicks to turn the device on or off.

There is an LED indicator on the fire button that also serves as a battery level indicator. The LED will shine green when the battery level is around 100%-60%, blue when it is about 59%-20%, and red when it is 19% or below.

The Tance Max features an inbuilt 1100mAh battery that can keep you vaping for more than a day without needing to recharge. The massive battery can be recharged via the Type-C USB charging port that is at the bottom of the device. The USB-C dramatically reduces the charging time, meaning that a dead battery can be fully recharged within an hour.

The kit comes with only one pod, however, it uses replaceable coils. The pod carries 4ml of e-juice and is made of semi-transparent plastic so you can see the exact level of e-juice left in the pod. The mouthpiece of the pod is flattened on one side to accommodate your mouth when you go in for a draw. The underside of the pod has the pod’s fill port and female threading that allows you to insert your chosen coil type via the airflow control base.

The pod uses a rotary-fill method, you simply rotate the seal in the indicated direction and refill the pod – that simple. Both coils that come with the kit are reliant on the airflow control base. On the sides of the Tance Max is airflow inlets.

Both coils that come with the Tance Max work well with any e-juice, regardless of its VG/PG ratio or nicotine concentration level. The flavor quality and cloud production are good especially when you twist the airflow control to your preference.

At the top of the Tance Max device are three magnetic contacts where the pod is connected. The magnets hold the pod firmly in place and make sure the connection is sturdy. The docking is reversible so you cannot get it wrong.

The Eleaf Tance Max is marketed for the mouth-to-lung vaping community, although it is possible to get direct lung hits. The device is suited for both beginners and seasoned vapers.
